Plain English terms for using Signal. We've tried to be fair and clear.
These terms govern your use of Signal, an analytics service operated by AckerWorx. By using Signal, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What Signal is
Signal is a privacy-first web analytics service. You add our tracking script to your website, and we collect aggregated, anonymous data about how your site is used. You access this data through our dashboard or API.

Your account
- •You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- •You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
- •You may only track websites you own or have permission to track.
- •One account per person or organization, unless we agree otherwise.
Acceptable use
Signal is built for legitimate analytics use cases. Don't use it for:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, usually after a warning unless the violation is severe.
Data ownership
Your data is yours. Analytics data collected from your properties belongs to you. You can export it at any time. When you delete your account, we delete your data.
We don't sell, share, or use your analytics data for any purpose other than providing the Signal service to you.
Service availability
We aim to keep Signal running reliably, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. Specifically:
- •We perform maintenance that may cause brief interruptions.
- •Third-party infrastructure issues may affect availability.
- •We'll communicate significant outages through our status page.
Pricing and payment
Signal currently offers a free tier with usage limits. If we introduce paid plans:
- •Existing free tier features will remain free.
- •We'll give 30 days notice before any pricing changes affect you.
- •You can always export your data and leave.
Limitations of liability
Signal is provided "as is." We do our best, but we can't guarantee it will be perfect.
- •We're not liable for decisions you make based on analytics data.
- •We're not liable for data loss beyond what we can reasonably prevent.
- •Our total liability won't exceed what you've paid us in the past 12 months.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. For significant changes, we'll notify you by email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
Termination
You can leave anytime
Delete your account from settings. We'll delete your data within 30 days. Export first if you want to keep it.
We can terminate for cause
If you violate these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account. We'll try to warn you first unless the violation is severe.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where AckerWorx is incorporated. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, unless prohibited by local law.
